Okorocha wins Imo governorship polls

The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA’S, candidate, Rochas Okorocha, has been declared the winner of Friday's governorship elections in Imo State.

Okorocha polled 336,859 votes to defeat incumbent Governor, Ikedi Ohakim of the People’s Democratic Party. Ohakim had 290,496 votes.

A supplementary election was conducted in three local government areas and one ward, after the initial April 26 polls failed to produce a winner.

Elections in the fourth local government area, Oguta could not hold due to security reasons.

Okorocha becomes the second governor to fly the flag of his party, APGA.
