Number of Displaced Families on the Rise

Al-Sabah is a daily independent publicly owned newspaper.

The ministry of displaced persons and migrants has revealed that the number of families forcibly displaced from areas of tension has increased to 21,731. At a meeting with a branch official of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, the minister called for coordination with the Kurdistan regional government to resolve issues facing such families. A source at the ministry said the number of displaced families rose sharply after the bombing of the Samarra shrines.
