Kazakstan’s president Nursultan Nazarbaev is holding his first public web conference on June 7.

When members of the public quiz the president, and observers anticipate a wave of questions about the scandal involving his son in law, Rahat Aliev, who has been charged with kidnapping two former heads of a major bank Nurbank. Other questions will likely focus on the future of Kazakstan’s bid to chair the OSCE in 2009, the recent constitutional reform and the government’s policy on affordable housing.
