Maliki Meets Army and Police Chiefs

Al-Ittihad is published daily by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.

Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki met the heads of the Iraqi police and army prior to discuss the implementation of the new Baghdad security plan. He urged them to make the safety of Iraqi people their top priority. He said they should not allow their backgrounds to influence their actions and to treat the city's neighbourhoods equally. He added that he felt confident that the Iraqi security forces would discharge their responsibilities well.
