At Least 100 Workers Abducted, Fate Unknown

Al-Mashriq is published daily by Al-Mashriq Institute for Media and Cultural Investments.

A security source has confirmed more than 100 workers employed by the industry ministry were abducted on the afternoon of June 21 after leaving work in al-Taji district to the north of Baghdad. The source said unidentified gunmen arrived in five minibuses and drove away the trucks carrying the workers to an unknown destination.
