Recently inaugurated Lagos State Deputy Governor, Mrs Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire has called on parents to pay more attention to the education of their daughters.

The Deputy Governor made the call in her office when she received the students of New Era Girl’s Junior Secondary School, Surulere, Lagos.

She noted that the girl-child could do better than her male counterpart if given the opportunity.

Orelope-Adefulire said the state would continue to enforce Child Rights Law to ensure that the rights of children, including the right to education, were not eroded.

She pledged that the state would train and re-train teachers to enable them adopt best practices in imparting knowledge.
