Kirkuk Security Operation Ends

Kurdistani Nwe is a political daily issued by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.

A major security sweep of the Kirkuk area by Iraqi army and police in cooperation with Coalition forces has netted 184 suspected insurgents, including a number of Syrians and Palestinians. Nearly 450 AK-47s and other types of machine guns were seized in the operation. Senior police officer Colonel Anwar Qadir said among the detainees were three Ansar Al-Sunna members.
