Japan to give 22 million dollars for reconstruction

The government of Japan is to provide 22.4 million US dollars to support the ongoing reconstruction process in Afghanistan, according to a press release issued in Kabul. The two countries signed an agreement to this effect on March 18. The agreement was signed by Afghan deputy foreign minister Mahmoud Saiqal and Ambassador Norihiro Okuda.

The amount form’s part of the third round of Japan’s Non-Project Grant Aid for development and reconstruction work.
