Iraq: Training Activists to Maximise Impact

Participants learn how to optimise their reach and stay safe online.
By IWPR Iraq

IWPR Iraq trained 60 journalists, activists and NGO workers in essential social media and cyber security skills in a series of Baghdad workshops.

Online activism can be very useful in combatting extremist thought, and participants were shown how to best promote peace and co-existence through solid, credible multimedia content.

Digital security training also gave them the skills necessary to ensure online accounts, data and devices were protected from potential threats.
