Former Governor Alao-Akala has not fled the country - Spokesman
The immediate past Governor of Oyo State, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, has denounced media reports that he had fled the country.
A statement signed by his spokesman, Prince Dotun Oyelade described the report by a section of the media as "a reckless untruth as Otunba Akala has no reason whatsoever to leave the country clandestinely."
According to Oyelade, Akala attended a Thanksgiving Service organised to mark his successful tenure at the Baptist Convention ground in Ibadan on Sunday when the publication alleged he had traveled out.
Oyelade pointed out that Akala had done nothing wrong and he remains a free citizen of Nigeria who plans to enjoy a well-deserved rest after a busy 4 years in the saddle in Oyo State.
