Five members of the Taleban have been killed in a clash with government forces in the southern province of Uruzgan, officials said on December 12. According to local officials, the deaths occurred in a clash between government forces and Taleban fighters in the Dehraoud district. The governor of Uruzgan province, Jan Mohammad Khan, said the insurgents attacked a security post in the village of Gezab village late on December 11. The surviving attackers fled, and security forces have launched an operation to track down them.
