A bomb attack was thwarted on March 27 when Canadian forces based in the southern province of Kandahar discovered two motorcycles fitted with explosives. A spokesperson for the Canadian Provincial Reconstruction Team. Captain Julie Roberge, said, “The two motorcycles were found in the northwest of the city in an old garage in Mirza Kala, near to the Baba Wali shrine.” She said two hand grenades, two anti-personnel mines and some explosives were attached to the motorcycles. No arrests have been made following the incident, Roberge said.
