District official wounded in Helmand

Hewad is a state-run daily published mostly in Pashto.

The police chief of Khanshin district in the southern province of Helmand was wounded when militants attacked the district office on the night of April 17. Provincial deputy police chief Mohammad Ayoub confirmed the incident, adding that the enemies of peace and stability attacked the district office at around 1:00 am. No one else was injured.
