Compensation package for 'NYSC 10' families
The Bauchi State Government has offered a compensation package to the families of the ten National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members killed during post-presidential election violence in the state.
Under the package, the 10 families got N20 million in addition to educational scholarship for two siblings of each of the slain corpers.
That is not all! The ten families will also receive 30 holy pilgrimage seats according to their religious faith.
The re-elected State Governor, Isa Yuguda, made this known during his inauguration at the state capital.
The cheques were handed to the families, through the NYSC office in Bauchi State.
Yuguda also said about 600 suspected perpetrators of the killings have been arrested and will soon be arraigned.
