Arms seizure in Paktia

Islah is a state-run daily published mostly in Dari.

Police discovered and seized a quantity of arms in the Zurmat district of the south-eastern province of Paktia during a sweep carried out on April 2, officials said. The Afghan interior ministry confirmed the news, adding that the arms included two Kalashnikov assault rifles, one rocket launcher, and some other light weapons. No one has been arrested in connection with the find.
