Aso is a Kirkuk-based independent newspaper published everyday.

The trial of Baathists for the Anfal campaign, in which tens of thousands of Kurds were either killed or disappeared, will today resume - just over a week after the execution of the main suspect in the case Saddam Hussein. Saddam was convicted along with his brother Barzan Tikriti and Awwad Bander, the head of the so-called Revolutionary Court, for crimes committed against Shia in Dujail.
