Alleged killer escapes from Shiberghan prison

Outlook is an independent daily published in English.

A suspected murderer escaped from a prison in Shiberghan, capital of the northern province of Jowzjan, on the night of February 28, officials said. The head of the prison, General Khalilullah, said that the criminal, named as Mohammad Raza, escaped by breaking the window of his cell. Police are searching the surrounding area. The official said there are 195 prisoners, male and female, in the jail.
