Allawi Asks for Decent Election

Baghdad is a daily newspaper issued by the Iraqi National Accord.

Iraqi National Accord secretary-general Iyad Allawi said he has reported several campaign violations by political alliances ahead of the December 15 parliamentary elections. Allawi, who heads the Iraqi National List running in the elections, detailed the violations in memorandums to the Independent Electoral Commission in Iraq. He welcomed Ashraf Kadi, the United Nations deputy secretary-general, and Abdul Hussein al-Hindawi, head of the electoral commission, to discuss the elections and potential violations.
