Local officials in the unsettled southern province of Zabul have confirmed the murder of K. Suryanarayan, an Indian engineer who worked for the Roshan mobile phone company. According to Gulab Shah Alikhail, spokesman for the governor of Zabul, Suryanarayan’s body was found in the village of Hotak Lodin, which is located between Zabul and Ghazni province. The Taleban abducted the engineer in the Shahr-e-Safa district on the evening of April 28 and gave all Indian nationals a deadline of 24 hours to leave Afghanistan. The Roshan company has takeb the body to Kabul.
