Talabani talks of progress on national reconciliation

Al-Sabah al-Jadeed is an independent daily paper.

President Jalal Talabani said there were positive signs that the national reconcilation plan was having some effect. He maintained that there was a national unity government representing a whole range of political views. Talabani was speaking at a meeting with members of the joint US delegation of Republican and Democratic congressmen, in which he outlined details of the political process in Iraq.
