Hawlati Newspaper Threatened by KDP Official

Hawlati is and independent newspaper issued weekly in Sulaimaniyah.

Senior KDP member, Sarbast Tarwanshy, threatened the Hawlati newspaper on a Radio Nawa show after his name appeared on a list of alleged spies published in Halwati. He insisted that even if he wasn't able to mount a legal action against the paper, he would find some way to take revenge. Hawlati has urged the Kurdish authorities to intervene in the matter.
