Government Urges Iraqis to Back Iraq Only

Al-Sabah al-Jadeed is an independent daily newspaper.

The Iraqi government has called on all neighbouring countries to stop interfering in Iraqi affairs by hosting conferences and activities that fan sectarian conflict. It urged all Iraqis - especially the Turkmen - to back Iraq and not on those states. Government spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh said that Iraq described the latest conference held in Turkey about Kirkuk as an attempt to weaken bilateral relations.
