No Bird Flu in Kurdistan Region

Al-Ittihad is published daily by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.

The health ministry in the Kurdistan region affirmed that the region is free from bird flu thanks to strict measures it took to prevent the disease from spreading from neighbouring Turkey. The ministry worked hard to control the disease and stop it from reaching the region through birds migrating (from Turkey.) The ministry halted the import of birds from countries where the disease was found and established a special division to deal with the issue.
