Bodies found in common grave in Badakhshan

Six bodies have been recovered so far from a common grave site found in the Dasht-e-Qurogh area of the north-eastern province of Badakhshan, local residents said. Witnesses identified the bodies as civilians from the Jurum district. According to the residents, the Qurogh area was ruled by a local militia commander during the mujahedin regime [1992-96]. Provincial security officials have made no statement on the grave site.
