Taleban commander killed in Kandahar

Hewad is a state-run daily published mostly in Pashto.

A top Taleban commander, Mullah Abdul Samad, was killed in the Spin Boldak district of the southern province of Kandahar in an armed clash with the local police late on February 3, police say. The commander’s body has been taken to the provincial police headquarters, according to officials.
