Committee to Follow Up Journalists' Issues

Al-Iraq al-Yoom is a weekly newspaper issued by Isra Shakir.

The Committee to Protect Journalists' Rights asked the government to form a special committee to follow up the serious violations against journalists. The committee consists of the ministries of defence and interior; human rights organizations; and the organization of media and communications. The committee's task is to find suitable solutions to the violations against journalists in line with laws and international treaties, and to facilitate the work of journalists during crisis periods.
