Syria Media Report, 13-Dec-07

Human rights groups in Syria have called for the release of opposition activists arrested at the beginning of December.

The National Organisation for Human Rights issued a press release on December 10 reporting that more than 30 supporters of the opposition “Damascus Declaration” group had been arrested after participating in a meeting involving about 160 people on December 1.

The organisation and three other human rights groups reported that arrests happened on December 9 and 10.
