Thirty-eight foreign prostitutes arrested some days ago in Kabul were deported on March 29. The prostitutes, who plied their trade in foreign-owned restaurants, were arrested in various parts of the capital. Abdul Jabar Sabit, a legal adviser to the Afghan interior ministry, said the prostitutes were arrested at establishments where alcohol was also widely sold. He added that special stamps had been placed in the women’s passports of the prostitutes.
