Kabul residents condemn cartoons

Erada is an independent daily run by the Afghan Media and Resource Centre.

Dozens of Kabul residents staged a demonstration in the Wazir Akbar Khan area of Kabul on February 6, condemning the offensive caricatures of the Prophet Mohammad published in a Danish newspaper. President Hamed Karzai, Foreign Minster Abdullah Abdullah and the Afghan parliament have already strongly condemned the act. The same day, protests about the issue – some peaceful and others violent – took place in several provinces.
