Military Imports Expected

Tareek al-Shaab is issued by the Iraqi Communist Party.

The spokesman for the defence ministry, Mohammed al-Askeri, said the Iraqi army would receive new military equipment in March from the America and South Africa to help it implement the new security plan for the country. He said preparations for the plan were already taking shape with some army units conducting manoeuvres in certain provinces. He added that he had no information about how insurgents had managed to break the security cordon around Kerbala.
