It is much ado about nothing to talk about electricity in Iraq. We have heard many declarations that simplified the issue and promises that officials would repair it. Yet, things continued as is. The people who suffered from continuous power cuts have not noticed any improvements. We hope that the new government will work to sweep out corrupt (individuals) from the electricity sector who have become rich at the expense of the suffering people. We are unwilling listen to any more false declarations about repairing electricity. All that we would like to hear are the main reasons behind the deterioration of electricity that has led us to this tragic situation. Electricity is a blessing that Iraqis have been deprived from. We are tired of using kerosene lamps. Let all of the concerned bodies know that our suffering from (the lack of) electricity is bigger than their interests in stuffing their pockets and achieving political goals.
