The Arab media describes the violent acts in Saudi Arabia, Jordan or in other Arab states as terror, but they give other descriptions and names to what is happening in Iraq. They look badly on the good things in the new political and social life of Iraq as well as the heroism of Iraqis in confronting the terror and terrorists. This is because Iraqis refused to defend their dictator and his regime, and because they accepted the changes easily and started enjoying and creating their democratic life. Many media outlets treat the Iraqi issue from the point of view of their own political agenda, a betrayal of free press principles. Federalism is written into the Iraqi constitution. But one of the Arab satellite channels described the news of federalism as "Shia proposed a project to split Iraq". This certainly inflames the sectarian conflict.
