The electricity ministry used to blame every power shortage and problem in giving people electricity on terrorist acts against power lines and electricity networks. We do not accept this excuse, because we know that thousands of guards are assigned to protect the electricity network, towers and power lines but they aren't doing their jobs. We need to stop relying on power transfers from centres far from the capital. We know that the ministry has five main stations in Baghdad to produce electricity. Residents of the capital will be grateful to the electricity ministry if it operates those stations and starts providing people with 12 hours of electricity a day.
