Parliament speaker Mahmood al-Mishhadani and Arab League assistant secretary-general Ahmed Bin Hilli announced that the reconciliation conference has been postponed. The conference was scheduled to be held in late June. Mishhadani said that discussions are underway to overcome the hurdles that postponed the conference. He said that (leaders) are working to set a new date to hold a successful conference. Bin Hilli also said that he hoped all different groups would participate. Bin Hilli said that there were no serious issues impeding the conference, but they wanted to give the newly-formed government enough time to prepare for the conference. He maintained that all countries supported the conference. He also said the Arab League had invited all of the Arab foreign ministers to attend the conference.
