UN Delegation Visits Kurdistan Region

Al-Bayan is issued four times weekly by the prime minister Nuri al-Maliki's Islamic Da'wa Party.

Kurdistan government coordinator to the United Nations, Deendar Zeebari, said a UN delegate would visit the Kurdistan region next week to follow up on displaced families from central Iraq who had fled to Kurdistan because of the security situation. In a press conference held in Erbil's Sheraton hotel, Zeebari said the delegate would discuss the possibility of aiding the families and that the refugee affairs organization was aware of the displaced families issue. Zeebari said that during his last visit to Jordan, he discussed with the UN team ways to support the development and rebuilding of Iraq.
