King of Jordan Receives Al-Thari

London-based Azzaman is issued daily by Saad al-Bazaz.

King Abdullah of Jordan received Harith al-Thari, the head of the Association of Muslim Scholars, an influential Sunni body in Iraq, and confirmed his country's willingness to provide support for reconciliation efforts in Iraq. During the meeting, the king warned of the dangerous consequences of acts of violence and sectarian killings. And Al-Thari expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by Jordan to assist Iraq at this difficult time.
