UN Envoy Holds Talks with Sistani

Al-Iraq al-Yoom is a weekly newspaper issued by Isra Shakir.

United Nations envoy Ashraf Kadi met with (the Grand Ayatollah) Sayyid Ali al-Sistani in Najaf to discuss political developments in Iraq. A source close to Sistani said the meeting aimed to find solutions to the security and political problems to end the current crisis. A spokesman said Kadi would hold a press conference later today in Najaf's provincial headquarters.
