Taleban militants arrested in Zabul

Erada is an independent daily run by the Afghan Media and Resource Centre.

The US-led Coalition and Afghan National Army forces have captured 16 Taleban militants in two separate operations in the southern province of Zabul, Afghan officials said on April 23. General Rahmatullah Raufi, commander of the 205th Atal military corps in the southern Kandahar province, said 12 of the militants were captured on April 22 in the Arghandab district, while four others were arrested on April 23 in the Nawbahar district. He added that the militants have been sent to Kandahar province for interrogation.
