Al-Taakhi is issued daily by the Kurdistan Democratic Party.

Upon receiving (US) Democratic party Senator John Kerry, president Jalal Talabani affirmed the importance of national unity and the need for Iraqi security forces to develop. He said the security forces will take over security responsibilities from multilateral forces. Kerry said the United States and the (US) Senate appreciate the democratic process Iraq is undergoing and Talabani's efforts to better serve Iraq. Kerry arrived Iraqi on Wednesday to hold talks with the Iraqi officials about the currents situation in the country.
