Summer Food Hygiene Risk

Eating unwashed fruit and street food is likely to leave you with serious stomach trouble, Asliddin Latifi reports from Khujand.

Rahmonberdy Muhammadiev, the chief doctor with this northern city’s hygiene department, says the usual summer epidemic has been curbed this year by a ban on selling homemade foodstuffs.

However, Latifi discovered that some market traders were continuing to sell food they had prepared themselves.
