Stop ballot box snatching: soldiers charged

Soldiers deployed to maintain peace during Thursday’s election in Kaduna State have been charged to prevent ballot box snatching.

The Deputy Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, Lieutenant Kamarudeen Adegokemade said the soldiers should not allow any movement of people, vehicles and motorcycles in order to stop the snatching of ballot boxes by hoodlums.

Lieutenant Adegokemade advised the soldiers to be professional and limit themselves to the protection of lives and property.

He assured the soldiers that their welfare was already provided for and urged them to avoid being used as tools by politicians desperate for power.
