Sistani urges Iraqi unity

Al-Bayyna is a weekly paper issued by the Hezbollah movement in Iraq.

Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani has called on Iraqi political leaders to hold the country together and work harder to improve conditions for poor people. It came as sources in the United Iraqi Alliance said that its negotiations with the Iraqi Accord were proving fruitful. At the same time, a member of the accord said it had talks with Sadrists to improve the security situation. Meanwhile, Iraqis from all over the country have rejected suggestions that Iraq was on the verge of civil war.
