Sistani: Displaced Families Should Return Home

Al-Bayan is issued four times weekly by the Islamic Da'wa Party, chaired by Iraqi prime minister Ibrahim al-Ja'fari.

Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani has said that displaced families must return back to their homes and that they are not receiving enough financial support. Migration and displacement minister Suhaila Ja'far reported Sistani's comments after meeting with the Shia cleric in Najaf. She reported that her ministry is not able to send the displaced back to their places of origin without the help of the defence and interior ministries. She asked the governors whose governorates are hosting the displaced families to meet tomorrow to discuss how to better serve the families.
