Senior police officer escapes attack

Outlook is an independent daily published in English.

A senior police officer narrowly escaped a Taleban attack in the Andar district of the central province of Ghazni late on April 28. Lahor Khan Wafadar, administrative chief of the district, said that the district police chief was on patrol with a police unit when he came under rocket attack in the Akhundkhel area. According to Wafadar, one rocket hit a police vehicle, which was damage, but no one was injured.
