Jafa'ar al-Mosawi, chief prosecutor in the Supreme Iraqi Criminal Tribunal, denied that (former Iraqi leader) Saddam Hussein had died in jail. He said that Saddam is in good health and that reports about his death were inaccurate. He denied that Saddam had gone on a hunger strike for the past 24 hours. He confirmed that the former Iraqi leader would attend the next court session, which will not be the last (for his trial on charges of crimes against humanity.) The multinational forces also announced that reports that Saddam had died in his cell were incorrect. They said he did not go on a hunger strike and is in good health.
