A school was damaged in Mehtarlam, the capital of the eastern province of Laghman, when it was hit by a rocket on the night of April 11. A provincial security official said the rocket was fired from the north-west at around 11:00 pm. He blamed Taleban militants for the attack, adding that they have recently become more active in the province. The incident happened followed the death of six children in a rocket attack on a school in the eastern province of Kunar on April 11.
