Refugees forced to pay for ID in Iranian province

Cheragh is an independent daily run by the Development and Democracy Association.<br /><br />

Afghan refugees living in the Shahrud and Daman districts of Iran's Semnan province are being forced to pay for their refugee-status cards. Such a procedure is not applied to Afghan refugees in other parts of Iran. An Afghan official says that the act contradicts a tripartite agreement between Afghanistan, Iran and the UNHCR.
