Ramadi is Completely Paralyzed

Al-Mada is issued daily by Al-Mada institution for Media, Culture, and Arts.

Since last week, Ramadi province has witnessed clashes between unidentified gunmen and American forces that have caused many casualties. US forces announced that they were targeted by mortars, rockets, heavy rifle fire and car bombs. They added that the Marines fought with the gunmen in a major battle but did not give any further details about casualties on both sides. An American officer said the gunmen regularly targeted provincial headquarters. Residents of Ramadi described the situation there as "difficult" and said the fighting made it impossible to move about.
