Professors Assassinated in Basra

Tareek al-Shaab is issued by the Iraqi Communist Party.

A source at Basra University said that 15 professors have been killed since the fall of the former regime (in April 2003) and that another 22 professors planned to quit the university due to threats. The source, speaking on condition of anonymity, added that most of the professors were in engineering, medicine, history and literature.
