Parliament criticises Istanbul conference

Al-Mada is issued daily by Al-Mada institution for Media, Culture and Arts.

The Iraqi parliament has discussed declarations made by the Iraqi Accord at the recent Istanbul conference to support the Sunnis of Iraq. Some parliamentarians criticised comments made by Adnan al-Dulaimi which they said could provoke sectarian splits and harm national reconciliation. Parliament’s foreign affairs committee also condemned the conference and asked the prime minister to review the commercial relations between Iraq and Turkey.
